Miranda Conecta is a 100% civic, independent project that began over a year ago with the goal of empowering communities across the State of Miranda through technology. In response to recent events, the platform has been expanded to include the State of La Guaira, enabling broader community collaboration during times of need. Our mission is to provide a centralized platform for anonymous citizen reporting and verified local information—free from the noise, misinformation, and polarization of traditional social media. Miranda Conecta is built to help communities stay informed, connected, and empowered through trusted, actionable information.

The story of the system began during the 2019 protests in Caracas, when it was created to help protesters report anonymously, with photos and map locations, the points of repression and dangerous areas. This allowed citizens to identify high-risk zones and protect themselves from unsafe situations. Since then, the project has gone through several forks and iterations.
